A detailed version of Lindsey's background and life shaping experiences included below:
Meet Lindsey Wilharm
In a political landscape often dominated by familiar names and entrenched interests, Lindsey Wilharm emerges as a refreshing candidate for U.S. Senate. With a vision rooted in Christian values and a commitment to restore our country, Lindsey is not just another elite career politician; she is a common middle class citizen, mother, and a servant of God, dedicated to advocate for the other common people of this country. Lindsey prides herself on being transparent and honest, qualities that politicians so often lack. She is deeply reflective of her experiences and not ashamed to share about the mistakes and challenges that have shaped her into the intelligent, God fearing, and obedient woman and mother she is today.
Background and Experience
Lindsey Wilharm was born in Switzerland while her parents, who are native to Minnesota, were residing there on a work visa. Due to their immigration policy, she was not granted Swiss born citizenship, therefore she was taken to the U.S. Embassy where she was documented as an American citizen. Her parents moved back to the United States when she was still a baby, and temporarily went to Ohio. When she was about five years old they returned to their home state of Minnesota. From then on, Lindsey spent her upbringing and formative years in Minnesota, like the four generations of her family that proceeded.
Lindsey descended from immigrants of Germany and Finland who came to Minnesota with little to nothing. Through hard work and dedication, each generation has helped contribute to Minnesota becoming a great state to live. Older members of the community may recognize her last name from the formerly well known pharmacies in the Twin Cities called Wilharm Drug. Lindsey was fortunate her family returned where she could grow up surrounded by hard working and dedicated family who had long established it as their home.
Lindsey was raised in Apple Valley, a south suburb of the Twin Cities. She had a typical suburban upbringing, but also got to experience the beauty of northern Minnesota when they traveled to Grand Rapids to spend time with family. She was a brilliant child, with a deep love for knowledge and school. Most of her free time outside of school was spent playing hockey. She thrived in the competitive atmosphere, and loved being part of a team. Being born in 1992, she experienced a true millennial upbringing. Her childhood was enriched by limited use of technology, while also getting to experience how it was increasingly incorporated into daily life. Even though she was quite young, she vividly remembers the September 11th terror attacks, and the transformation America went through as a result. As Lindsey entered her teen years, the global financial crisis hit, and she unfortunately witnessed as many peoples lives drastically changed. The economy tanked and the people around her lost jobs, financial security, and in some cases, even their homes. She watched as moderate and conservative Minnesotans plunged themselves into liberal ideology not necessarily because of principles, but out of social support or perceived necessity.
By the time Lindsey entered high school she was heavily interested in politics. She would indulge in conversation and debates with peers or any adults willing to give her the time of day. Her perception of politics were shaped by the war on terror, conditions of the economy, and non-stop news broadcasts that were the steady background noise of her childhood. She easily fell victim to the liberal ideology that took grasp of her community. She was first in her class throughout most of high school, excelling in both liberal arts and the sciences. Towards the end of her high school career, her health took a huge hit following a vaccine injury from the newly approved vaccine, Gardisil. This experience would later serve as a driving force for her passion to research natural healthcare.
Her senior year, Lindsey got pregnant at the age of 18. Unfortunately the Minnesota sexual health education of her upbringing had taught her abortion was an acceptable option for an unwanted pregnancy. She was assured abortion was the only reasonable choice to secure her future. Immediately following the abortion however she was plagued psychologically by the burden of that irreversible, and intensely immoral decision. Lindsey has since developed a staunch pro-life position; and an intense disdain for the Minnesota sexual health education system, that promotes abortion as an acceptable decision. She believes it is a tragic disservice and failure to young women to not vehemently warn them of the life long burden, and psychological impact, that can result.
Education
Lindsey was admitted to Florida State University in Tallahassee for political science, however she took advantage of their first year abroad program and went to Panama for her freshman studies. Having already completed her general requirements in high school, she immediately jumped into higher classes including political philosophy and psychology. She immersed herself in the culture of Panama making almost exclusively local friends who provided her unique and authentic experiences. The cultural immersion of her relationships were often significantly more educational than her studies. Through her friends she learned a fair amount of Spanish; and got to learn about the social political landscape and economy of their country. Her friends were part of the upper echelon of society, and had families deeply integrated into politics. She experienced the far reaching power of the upper class that she otherwise never would have fully understood from her middle class upbringing. There was corruption on every level of the government, from the president, to the policemen. She saw how the whole country was run by who you know, and not what you know, and most importantly how much you were willing to pay. It drastically opened her eyes to the reality that this was happening in the United States, a much larger government, on a much larger scale.
Panama was burning with entrepreneurial spirit. It seemed like anyone willing, was able to start and succeed in creating a business. Lindsey realized much of what prevented more people in the United States from doing the same, was simply mental barriers and expectations fortified by society. She believed that the path pushed by Americans to attend college instead of partake in entrepreneurship, was a disservice to the entire country. Taking out a loan to complete college seemed like a poor decision that would only prevent her from carrying out her entrepreneurial dreams. Despite intense judgment, she followed her instincts and decided to drop out and return home to Minnesota.
Work and Motherhood
When Lindsey returned home to Minnesota, word of her keen intellect caught the attention of an auto repair shop owner. His business was struggling to stay afloat due to his high overhead costs, extreme debt, and dozens of maxed out personal credit cards. At just 19 years old, Lindsey took complete control of the business management. She was able to regulate the finances, pay off the entirety of the debt, and put the business on a thriving path towards success in under a year. Ultimately she decided to leave the job due to poor compensation.
At the age of 20, Lindsey got pregnant again. Despite pressure from her family to have another abortion, Lindsey knew that having a child would simply give her more motivation to succeed. She got engaged and planned a future with her fiancée, confident she could fulfill all her dreams. Fortunately, her fiancée shared her vision for entrepreneurship and having a family business. Following the birth of their son he and Lindsey started a business that would enable them to have the family dynamic they desired. Their hard work, dedication, and lifestyle sacrifices, allowed Lindsey to be able to care for their baby without childcare or government assistance. They took over what was left of a dying construction company that consisted of minimal equipment and a few maintenance accounts. The company evolved and grew rapidly gaining employees, assets, and new skillsets. Eventually they were able to purchase a building for the company, ensuring stability and continued success.
Operating a small business quickly dissolved her former liberal ideologies she had acquired in high school. The policies and restrictions implemented by Minnesota's liberal government constantly created obstacles and unnecessary challenges for them as small business owners. In the entirety of their business operation, not a single policy Minnesota passed, eased the burden of running a small business and often rather created additional stress. Despite the challenges brought on by the government, they always found a way to succeed and ensure the wellbeing of their employees. The most prosperous years of the business to date were during the first administration of Donald Trump. His national policies that boosted the economy and lowered gas prices increased their profit margins and enabled them to hire more people to grow the company. Throughout this time Lindsey and her fiancée had two additional children and Lindsey was primarily able to focus on motherhood while taking on an advisory role of the business.
In her spare time, Lindsey continued her pursuit and love for knowledge. She was determined to heal from the vaccine injury she acquired in High School, and reverse the many symptoms she had been suffering as a result. Following the birth of her first child, she went to the Mayo clinic seeking answers for her health, but only received an abundance of pharmaceuticals that caused more problems than they fixed. She quickly discovered that the current health care system was more concerned with profits and masking symptoms than solving root causes. Lindsey therefore became passionate in researching natural health care with desire to heal herself and save her kids from also being victims to the medical system. She is proud to have raised her three children completely outside of the boundaries of standard medical care.
It took many years of research, and ultimately divine guidance from God, but she eventually successfully healed herself from over a dozen chronic symptoms and auto immune issues. Throughout this time, she learned the inner workings of how the government influences health care. Pregnancy, childbirth and caring for children, illuminated many unfortunate faults rooted in financial incentives and perpetuated by government oversight and policies.
Motherhood has been the most important, enlightening, impactful, and fulfilling endeavor that Lindsey has partaken in. It pains her that she was discouraged from being a mother because of her age and circumstances. Having kids helped Lindsey to mature and succeed in accordance to God's design. She became more selfless, and determined, learning to care for the needs of others before her own. Motherhood has taught Lindsey lessons that she is certain no other experience or job ever could. Everything she did in life became exceedingly more meaningful because of her children. Lindsey is certain that without them, she would have spent years chasing success and happiness in empty and unsatisfying ways. Her absolute greatest success in her life is being a mother and raising God loving children. She deeply mourns the life of the child she chose to abort and wished women were not given the reckless ability to make the same regretful decision. Throughout motherhood Lindsey has also taken pride in her family's business that provides well paying jobs so others can partake in the American dream of sustaining families of their own.
Following the birth of her third child, Lindsey returned to college at Northwestern Health Sciences University. She believed her best chance at fixing the broken health care system would be to acquire formal credentials and get involved. Despite perfect grades while managing a household and helping with the family business, this pursuit was cut short with the discovery of her fiancée's many affairs. After ten years of being only engaged and never married, she was put in an unthinkable position of having to walk away from everything they built together over the last decade. She was stripped of financial security and found herself reliant on faith, knowing that God must have other plans for her life.
Faith
Lindsey took an unconventional and rocky path towards finding Christ and becoming a devout Christian. She spent the beginning of her adulthood deeply entrenched in New Age ideology, naively dabbling in all religions. Her pursuits regarding natural health however perfectly complimented a pursuit of spirituality. Lindsey tried a multitude of treatments desperately seeking physical healing, but could only gain temporary relief from her symptoms. At some point in 2020, in utter despair, she called out to God begging Him to save her. She had a divine encounter where God sternly spoke to her saying, "He had sent the Savior". Lindsey knew immediately and intrinsically that meant that Jesus Christ was absolutely real; and that her life, health, and future depended upon truly knowing Him. She began to direct her prayers to Christ, and prayed for guidance on how to heal. Through divine direction, she discovered a treatment protocol that would bring her the healing she desperately had sought. Lindsey started the treatment protocol at the same time she devoted herself to Christ. What resulted was permanent reversal of all her symptoms, as well as an ultimate answer to her spiritual search. Lindsey's faith blossomed and that she was certain she had found the religion anchored in truth.
Lindsey recently affirmed her faith in Christ by becoming a catechumen in the Orthodox church and is awaiting to be received. Lindsey did not realize this journey of deepening her faith and theological knowledge would lead her to engage in politics. However, in hindsight, it seems that God was preparing her for politics her entire life. Her journey through the darkness of abortion, experiencing the political landscape of another country, and navigating the dark sides of the pharmaceutical industries that contribute to controlling our society have uniquely prepared her for a role in politics. Lindsey wants to protect her fellow Minnesotans and Americans from the darkness she encountered.
Lindsey is not motivated by money or power, she is only motivated to be obedient in carrying out the will of God. She decided that is exactly what she herself, was looking for in someone representing Minnesota in politics. No other candidate in Minnesota adequately, and proudly, stands upon the foundation of Christian faith; therefore she believes it is her duty to do so. No matter the outcome, she believes God has plans for what her campaign will accomplish in people's hearts. Her vision and prayer for America's future is that the country reunites in their love of God and remains a beacon of freedom for the entire world.
Lindsey respects the separation of church and state while also acknowledging that you cannot separate a person from their faith. It is important to know and understand the faith of the politicians that represent your community because one's faith, or lack thereof, makes up the foundation of their decision making.
